The rear of the case is aluminum and is thicker in the middle and tapers to a razor thin 5 mm at the edges. Condition is used but in very good condition. These were refurbished units that have been set up as new, with Catalina as the OS, but you can upgrade it to Ventura once you receive it if you wish.
